Halloween Entertaining Ideas
from Pascale
So after encountering some “technical” difficulties (the spirits were at work… it was Halloween, after all!) my Halloween decorating ideas are a bit belated, but this will give you some ideas for your next year Halloween party! Click to enlarge
I just hosted an amazing evening for 100 guests, all dressed in ghoulishly creative costumes, and all in frightfully good spirits, ready to eat, drink and dance the night away in a house transformed into a tasteful palace of horrors!
Here are some of the ideas I used: To create a centerpiece I call “out of the crypt”, I let a bouquet of white and dark red roses go by and wilt. I then added black silk roses and dry grasses gathered from the woods and arranged them all in an urn lined with floral foam. I strategically placed some creepy plastic flies and spiders on the petals, a skinny rubber snake coming out of the edge and some bony parts around the base. You may add some dead branches and leaves in and around your arrangement for added spookiness… Voila! The guests devoured chocolate dipped marshmallows, which I rolled in black sugar (it looked just like dirt) and orange sprinkles. I buried a foam head stone in a cauldron filled with planting soil and planted the marshmallow sticks in the dirt and at the top of the “stone”… added a few bone parts coming out of the ground… a fun and tasty treat, as well as a real conversation piece! I just adore Halloween - my passion for sets and costumes comes from my theater background. It would be my pleasure to create spectacular invitations, decorate your home, and host your next Halloween bash!
A bientot! Thanksgiving is coming up… ~Pascale |
