The glorious days of fall have returned to New England and your “leaf peepers" and out of state friends are flocking to your home for the weekend - a perfect time to plan a festive and inviting autumn brunch!
    
Here are some fun ideas you can try:
Collect all of those great yard sale and flea market treasures you discovered over your summer countryside trips - it's time to display them, using them in a creative way for your brunch buffet!
I found these wooden children’s chairs, painted them in bright hues to match seasonal flowers, and placed my bouquets in large mason jars and colorful pottery pitchers and sat them atop the chairs. Small chairs and antique stools also make perfect risers for cookie platters or large drink dispensers filled with mulled cider, floating fresh slices of apples and cinnamon sticks.
    
This old (but charming) plant stand can be used  to display bread baskets or cheese and fruit platters, while the vintage wicker baby carriage will hold potted mums and pumpkins beside your buffet.  
You can have so much fun finding special uses for your antique treasures.
    
Keep on imagining and entertaining - your friends will appreciate and delight in your creativity!
