Mid-July brought us one of the season’s highlights: the pleasure of catering a truly international 60th birthday celebration for Johan. Surrounded by 40 friends and family members from Norway, France, England, and the local friends, Johan hosted an unforgettable gathering right in his lush backyard—blooming and vibrant under the summer sun.
A spacious tent provided shade during the sunny afternoon and was glowing warmly as evening fell. The weather was on our side: warm, sunny, and just breezy enough to keep everyone comfortable as laughter, conversation, and music filled the air.
From the appetizer stations to the refined buffet dinner, each dish was crafted for Johan and Ann, considering their food preferences, the seasonal products, respectful of the guests diet requirements and allergies. Each dish was created not just to satisfy—but to celebrate.
Brianna, our lovely server with French roots, fit right in with the warm, multilingual spirit of the day and I especially enjoyed the chance to chat in French with a few guests while prepping dishes—it felt more like a festive family reunion than a workday.
At C’est La Fête!, we believe catering is about more than food. It’s about creating a shared experience—one that complements the occasion and lives on in memory long after the plates are cleared.
The menu featured:
* Mediterranean display with Hummus and Baba Ganoush, olives, fresh pita wedges and a variety of pita chips plain and flavored
* Large crudites platter with petite multi colored carrots, mini cukes, green beans, mini peppers, celery sticks and two fresh dips, spinach herb and Tzaziki.
* Summer Penne Pasta dish with pesto, cream, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil and parmesan
* Grilled Chipotle Lime Shrimp with garlic, soy & honey
* Roasted Vegetables Medley with Summer Squash, Broccoli, Zucchini, Carrots and Cherry Tomatoes a drizzle of balsamic glaze, Eevoo, parsley and garlic.
* Mediterranean Farro salad with feta cheese, spinach, sundried tomatoes, scallions, garlic, olive oil & lemon dressing
*Mixed greens salad with raspberries croutons and shaved parmesan, Vinaigrette and Ranch dressings on the side.
Two fabulous birthday cakes were ordered at a local bakery to delight every guests and satisfy their flavor wish: A glorious chocolate -Mocha cream and a summery lemon – vanilla cream.
A beautiful way to end the perfect Birthday celebration. We were honored to help make Johan’s milestone birthday as joyful, personal, and delicious as it deserved to be.
